The young actress, who is best known for her work in Malayalam films, made her Tamil cinema debut with Sirai. According to IMDb, Anishma Anilkumar was born on 27 June 1999 in Kattakkada area of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Her parents are Anilkumar and Sumadevi. Reportedly, Anishma has completed B. Tech from the Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, in 2021.

For the uninitiated, Anishma Anilkumar made her acting debut with the 2023-released Malayalam film, Poovan. She played the role of Sini in the film, which stars Antony Varghese Pepe in the lead role. However, it is the Naslen starrer I Am Kathalan, helmed by Premalu director AD Girish, which established her as a promising talent. Anshima played the role of Shilpa in the film, which was a decent commercial success.
