Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, the new Zee TV's period drama, has been hitting all the right cords and the lead actors - Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick, have managed to mesmerise the viewers with the portrayal of their characters - Gayatri and Ranaji.

Drashti, especially, who is playing a common girl named Gayatri on the show, has so far been the highlight of the show. In the latest episode, Gayatri will be seen eager to get a glimpse of their King, Ranaji (Siddhant) and in the desperate attempt ends up pushing a plant down the street where the parade will be passing by, disrupting and making the guards go alert for the King's safety.

The security will then barge into the house to inspect the house to see if there is someone hiding who might pose any danger to the King. Gayatri, along with her mother and sister-in-laws, who are alone in the house as the men would be out of town, will be vulnerable to the scrutiny.

Gayatri, despite her mother's attempts to keep her silent, will argue with the royal security guards in stopping from examining their household. She will be unaware that Ranaji too would have accompanied the guards to check on the situation.

Ranaji, after hearing Gayatri's argument, will decide to withdraw the security check and orders them to leave the premises. Gayatri, who realises late that it was Ranaji himself who was on the horse in her house, runs down to get a glimpse of him. Though she does not get to see him, she will be visibly impressed with her King.

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, which went on-air on 27 July, has grabbed viewers' attention and time will tell if the show manages to sustain the interest or not.

Ranaji will be seen passing Gayatri's street for the parade. He will be seen waving and passing by but Gayatri will not be able to see him.

In the desperate attempt to get a glimpse of the King, Gayatri will be seen bending over the platform when she accidentally pushes the plant.

The royal security will barge into Gayatri's house to see if there was someone who threw the plant on purpose to hurt the King.
