Revealed! Diya Aur Baati Hum's Off-air Date; The Show To Be Replaced By Mahesh Bhatt's TV Series!

As we all are aware, Star Plus' super successful show, Diya Aur Baati Hum will soon end its massive run of 5 years. Earlier, it was speculated that the show will wind up in August, but it got an extension.

Now, it is confirmed that the show will air the finale episode on September 11! If sources are to be believed, the show will wrap up on a good note, with peace and justice prevailing after the high-voltage child trafficking drama.

It is being said that, this cult show will be replaced by Mahesh Bhatt's new TV series, based on his famous Bollywood flick, Zakhm.

A leading entertainment portal reported that, "Though, the team has not locked the climax track, the child trafficking track will go on for the whole month of August, wherein there will be many highs and lows in the Rathi family."

Fans, don't be disappointed! As we had reported earlier, the preparations for the second season are going on in full swing. Earlier, it was said that Bollywood actor, Sharman Joshi was considered for the male lead, for season 2.

However, the actor denied these rumours. He told, "This is not true at all. I have no clue about this. Don't know where these rumours are coming from." After this, even we are curious to know the lead actor of the season 2!

Currently, the show is revolving around child-trafficking. In the last episode, we saw the entry of Pankaj Kalra in the show. He will be playing the role of Makrand.

He will be the mastermind behind the trafficking business. As we had reported earlier, the gang will lay their eyes on Mishri, and she will be kidnapped in the upcoming episodes. Sandhya (Deepika Singh) and her family will struggle to bring her back.
