Anupamaa: Rupali Ganguly’s Popular Co-Star Confirms QUITTING The Show, Says ‘Time To Move On…’

Anupamaa Update: Since its premiere in 2020, Rajan Shahi-produced Anupamaa has captured the love of dedicated viewers, featuring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the iconic roles of Anupama and Anuj respectively. The family-oriented drama has consistently dominated the TRP charts, enthralling the audience with its engaging narrative and entertainment value.

The show boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Madalsa Sharma, Sagar Parekh, Sudhanshu Pandey, Nidhi Shah, and Ashish Mehrotra, each portraying pivotal roles in the storyline. Currently, the plot of Anupamaa centers around Malti plotting against her once-favourite student Anupama who called-off her plans to travel to the US at the last moment.

While Anupamaa recently witnessed the entry of Viraaj Kapoor as Ankush's illegitimate son, a popular actress has bid adieu to the top-rated Star Plus show. Well, we're talking about Ekta Saraiya who essays the role of Vanraj's sister Dolly. Yes, you read that right!

In a recent interview, the actress confirmed her exit from Anupamaa. Wondering why she decided to quit the hit family drama after appearing in it for around three years? Well, Ekta has bagged a prominent part in Zee TV's upcoming show Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai starring Manasi Joshi Roy and it wasn't possible for her to work on two daily soaps together.

EKTA SARAIYA AKA DOLLY ON HER EXIT FROM ANUPAMAA

Talking about the same, she told Tellychakkar, "I am actually not a part of Anupama anymore, it was physically impossible for me to be a part of two shows at the same time since one has a 7-day telecast. So, I had to say Goodbye to Anupama, but I have made so many great memories on the show, I am so glad that I got to play the role of Dolly, and I am grateful for DKP for the opportunity, it was just time to move on, but I will miss the show, and I am thankful for all the love."

For those who are unaware, Ekta's character Dolly always stood against the wrong-doings of her brother Vanraj and mother Leela. While fans loved Dolly's equation with her bhabhi Anupama, we're sure that fans are surely going to miss her in Anupamaa. Also, we're looking forward to watch her in Kyunki Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai.
