Anupamaa: Wondering Why Devika Aka Jaswir Kaur Is Missing From Rupali Ganguly’s Show? Actress Breaks Silence

Anupamaa Update: Since its premiere in 2020, the family drama Anupamaa, featuring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna and produced by Rajan Shahi, has enthralled fans with its compelling storyline. The show consistently dominates the TRP charts, and the makers are continuously striving to enhance its engagement and enjoyment for viewers.

With a talented ensemble cast including Sagar Parekh, Madalsa Sharma, Sudhanshu Pandey, Nidhi Shah, and Ashish Mehrotra in pivotal roles, the highly acclaimed series Anupamaa currently focuses on Anupama's US trip with Malti Devi and Choti Anu's condition after Maya's sudden demise.

WHY DEVIKA IS MISSING FROM RUPALI GANGULY'S ANUPAMAA?

Reportedly, Anupama is going to ditch Malti Devi at the last moment for Choti Anu post which an irked Malti Devi will take revenge on Anupama anyhow. Amid all the ongoing drama, a prominent character is currently missing from the hit show.

Well, we're talking about Jaswi Kaur who essays the pivotal role of Anupama's best friend. The talented actress has been missing from Anupamaa for the past three months. Her co-star Nitesh Pandey, who played Devika's lover and Anuj's friend, passed away on May 23 this year. Since then, the makers have put the actress' track on hold.

JASWIR KAUR AKA DEVIKA ON HER ABSENCE FROM ANUPAMAA

In a recent interview, the actress has finally opened up about her presence from Anupamaa. Talking about the same, Jaswir told ETimes, "I shot exactly three months ago for Anupamaa, when Anuj (Gaurav Khanna) leaves the Kapadia house and goes to Mumbai. In that track, they had introduced how Nitesh's character and my character were planning to get married. But, unfortunately, Nitesh passed away and later with other tracks coming up, my track was put on hold."

As of now, the actress has no clue about her comeback in the top-rated show.

On being asked if the makers are planning to replace Nitesh Pandey, she added, "I have no idea. I am sure the production team has a plan. I am hoping that my track will be revived again because Devika is an important character in the show."
