Fahmaan Khan News: Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin on Star Plus, produced by Cockrow Entertainment and Shaika Films, premiered in 2020 with Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh in the lead roles of Sai and Virat respectively. After a successful run of over two years, GHKKPM recently took a generation leap post which new lead stars entered the show.

While everyone's favourites Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh aka SaiRat bid adieu to the show, Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma entered the top-rated Star Plus show as the new leads.

Interestingly, the makers had also approached Fahmaan Khan and Ulka Gupta to essay the lead roles of Ishaan and Savi after the leap. Both the actor had even confirmed being in talks with the makers. However, at last, things didn't work out for different reasons and the makers finally signed Shakti and Bhavika.

FAHMAAN KHAN REVEALS WHY HE SAID 'NO' TO GHUM HAI KISIKEY PYAAR MEIIN

Recently, at an event, Fahmaan Khan finally revealed the reason why he turned down the offer to be a part of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Well, he decided against doing the hit Star Plus show due to his commitment to his ongoing show Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii on Colors TV.

It is a known fact that Dharampatnii was confirmed to end last month and that's when he was approached for GHKKPM. At the last moment, his ongoing show got an extension and he continued to be a part of it.

Talking about turning down the character of Ishaan, Fahmaan told Telly Masala, "Jis commitment mei reh chuka tha, jis show ka mai commitment kar chuka hoon, uss show ko chhord bhi nahi sakta mai. Agar extension mil gaya hai toh I will continue with that show and I'm gonna give my 100%."

Talking about Dharampatnii getting an extension, the actor added, "Dekho ye dusri zindagi hai, it's the second life to the show. Jaise wo Nawaz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) sahab ne kaha tha ki 'Maut ko choo ke thak se wapas aa gaye.' Toh waisa wala situation hai, I'm really glad it has happened. And, I'm looking forward kyunki hum log bohot mehnat kar rahe hai hum dobara. Kyunki agar ko extension mila hai toh double mehnat karni padegi. Iss waqt humei 10 O'clock ka slot mila hai toh Anupamaa ke against hai hum and it's a big thing. Bohot badi cheez hai. Toh maine apne makers se, jo apne creatives hai, unn sab se yahi baat ki that now we've to be double cautious. You know, pull up our socks and do well. Toh, let's see, looking forward to it."
