20 Saal Ka Leap…: Katha Ankahee Leads Adnan Khan, Aditi Sharma’s EPIC Reaction On Off-Air & Leap Rumours

Katha Ankahee Update: Aditi Sharma and Adnan Khan embarked on their television careers with India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2004, ZEE TV) and Arjun (2014, Star Plus) respectively. Their talent has since captivated millions of viewers.

After delighting fans with their respective successes, the duo joined forces for the first time in Sphere Origins' Sony TV series, Katha Ankahee. This show is the official Hindi adaptation of the Turkish series One Thousand and One Nights, inspired by the Arabian Nights tales.

Aditi Sharma takes on the lead role of Katha Singh, a resilient single mother who confronts her greatest challenge when her son Aarav is diagnosed with a severe form of blood cancer. Struggling to cover the overwhelming medical expenses and receiving no support from her in-laws, Katha finds herself at a critical crossroads.

Adnan Khan, on the other hand, portrays Viaan Raghuvanshi, a successful architect marked by the emotional scars left by his father's abandonment of his mother, Teji, in favor of another woman. This experience has led him to adopt a cynical view of women, perceiving them all as opportunists.

While the show premiered on Sony TV in December last year and currently owns a great fan following, there are contestant reports about Katha Ankahee going off-air. Not just that, the latest reports also suggested that the popular show might be taking a leap soon. In a recent interview, the Adnan and Aditi opened up about the ongoing reports.

While talking to the leap speculations, Adnan jokingly told TellyMasala, "Ofcourse, it's true. 20 saal ka leap lene wala hai. Sorry sorry, 25 years. I'm going to be a grandfather." Joining in, Aditi added, "Reincarnation hogi, hum apne mei hi wapas aa jaenge. He'll be Ruhaan Raghuvanshi and I'll be Katy Singh. Aur jo Aarav hai wo hamara kuch papa-wapa hoga."

At last, Adnan revealed that nothing like that is happening and revealed, "Oo, that's so creative ya. Wow, I'm impressed. Exactly like this, we laugh."

The actress also revealed that there's no truth behind off-air rumours too and statedm "See, humei toh nahi pata. It's a TV show, ye sab cheezein, decisions hamare haath mei nahi hote as actors. Hamara character bhi kaise behave karega ye bhi hamare haath mei nahi hota. Though people uspe comment karte hai, humei kehte hai 'aisa kyu kiya? Viaan aisa kyu kar raha hai, Katha why are you doing this?' But that's not in our control. Hum toh, kathputli jise kehte hai, we're just like that. Humei script milti hai, hamare director sahab batate hai aise karo, DOP shoot karte hai, hum sirf kaam karte hai apna. I don't think, humei toh koi news nahi hai ki show band hone wala hai ya leap hone wala hai. Par abhi toh nahi hai, so let's see.
