Kumkum Bhagya New Leads: Produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, Kumkum Bhagya made its debut on ZEE TV in 2014, featuring Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia in the central roles of Pragya and Abhi. Kumkum Bhagya quickly garnered immense popularity, with Sriti and Shabir becoming an adored onscreen couple.

GENERATION LEAP IN KUMKUM BHAGYA

However, in 2021, after portraying their iconic roles for more than seven years, both actors decided to step away from the show. Consequently, the show's creators introduced Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul as the new protagonists, playing the characters of Prachi and Ranbir. This pairing affectionately earned the name 'PranBir' from their dedicated fans.

As the second generation of actors completes its two-year journey in Kumkum Bhagya, the show's makers have chosen to implement yet another significant storyline shift by introducing a new generation leap. While the leap has been confirmed, there are also reports circulating that Mugdha and Krishna may be bidding farewell to the popular drama for the same reason.

ABRAR QAZI AND RACHI SHARMA TO PLAYS LEADS IN KUMKUM BHAGYA?

While the duo will continue to be a part of Kumkum Bhagya post-leap for some time, the latest reports suggest that the makers have now finalized the actors who'll play the new leads after the impending time jump. According to an ETimes report, Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma are confirmed to play the new protagonists in Kumkum Bhagya post-Leap. Yes, you read that right!

Reportedly, the anticipated leap is expected to occur by the end of the month, and the new cast will commence shooting within the next couple of days. For those who are unaware, Abrar became a household name after essaying the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Chahatein co-starring Sargun Kaur Luthra. If the news of the actor entering Kumkum Bhagya turns out to be true then it'll mark his second collaboration with the TV czarina.

Abrar will reportedly play a businessman in Kumkum Bhagya who's very loyal to his family. Rachi, on the other hand, is likely to play a school teacher in the long-running show. She was last seen in Colors TV's Durga Aur Charu.

However, an official announcement from the makers' side is still awaited.
