Tejasswi Prakash Update: Naagin 6 proved to be an exceptional success, and the Naagin franchise has consistently been one of the most beloved and popular TV show franchises. Ekta Kapoor deserves commendation for introducing fans to the captivating world of serpents. The inaugural season of the show achieved remarkable ratings on the TRP charts, and with each subsequent season, its fanbase continued to expand.
NAAGIN 6 LEAD STAR ON DISSATISFACTION WITH ROLE
While a few seasons didn't reach the same heights, Tejasswi Prakash starrer Naagin 6 emerged as a standout season that garnered considerable attention and performed impressively on the TRP charts. Interestingly, it became the longest season in the franchise. During its run, the show witnessed several changes and one of them was the introduction of multiple leaps and male leads.
Initially, Simmba Nagpal played the lead role opposite Tejasswi. Post his exit, Pratik Sehajpal, Shrey Mittal, and Vatsal Sheth entered the show as the male leads at different points in the storyline. In addition to the show's success, Pratik received acclaim for his performance in Naagin 6.
However, his character's journey was relatively brief on the series, spanning just three months. In a conversation with Etimes recently, Pratik Sehajpal expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of Naagin 6 but also shared his desire for more screen time.
Despite being the lead character, he felt that he could have contributed more with additional screen presence, which would have made his experience even more fulfilling. Yes, he was not satisfied with the screen space he got in Naagin 6.
PRATIK SEHAJPAL ON SCREEN SPACE NAAGIN 6
He stated, "Doing Naagin 6 was a great experience. The only thing I feel about doing Naagin is that wish I'd got some more screen time even though I was the lead for those 3 months, I didn't get that much screen time. Mujhe thoda sa Aur screen time Milta Na Mujhe bahut Khushi hoti. I wanted to act and so much interested in doing it. Main Farsh par baithne ko tayar tha, 24 ghante kaam Karne ko ready tha without food and water. Mujhe kuch Aur nahi chahiye. I don't need vacations, work gives me kick. But whatever screen time I got people liked my work and fans would make Tejasswi and my reels, edits."
It's good to see Pratik's honesty and it'll be interesting to see how the makers would react to his statement. Interestingly, there were rumours about the makers planning to revive Pratik's character Rudra Raichand as the male lead of Naagin 7. However, there's still no official announcement about the same.
