As the family drama is set to complete 15 years next month, it has made headlines since the makers announced the fourth-generation leap.

For those unaware, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai witnessed another generation leap after which Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod were replaced by Shehzada Dhami and Samridhii Shukla as the new main leads. It's been just a few weeks since the entry of the new cast and the long-running Star Plus show has been getting a mixed response as expected.

The loyal fans of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are still missing seeing Harshad and Pranali as Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively and are taking their own sweet time in accepting Armaan and Abhira's story. Fans haven't been happy with the makers' decision of another generation leap and wanted to see more of PraShad in the show.

While there were rumours of a fallout between Harshad Chopda and Rajan Shahi, none of them opened up about the same. Amid all this, the latest rumours suggest that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai wanted to continue the story with Abhimanyu and Akshara only and had no plans for a leap. However, an interesting demand of Harshad changed their mind.

HARSHAD CHOPDA DEMANDED FOR A FEE HIKE?

As per a Bollywood Life report, Harshad Chopda had demanded a hike in his fees to continue playing Abhimanyu in YRKKH. But, constrained by budgetary concerns and the inability to accept the actor's demand, the producers opted for the generation leap. Yes, you read that right!
