Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Pragati Mehra

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai News: YRKKH, created by Rajan Shahi, has captivated fans for an impressive 14 years, solidifying its status as one of the most popular shows on television. This enduring family drama has garnered consistently high ratings throughout its run. Currently, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai features Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda as the lead actors, bringing to life the characters of Akshara and Abhinav, respectively.

Besides the lead trio, many well-known names have been playinng pivotal roles in the long-running Star Plus show and one of them is Pragati Mehra. The actress, who has been a part of the showbiz from the past two decades, is essaying the character of Abhimanyu's Badi Maa Mahima Birla in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

While she has always been praised for her performance, Pragati opened up about facing bidy-shaming in a recent interview. The talented actress revealed that despite being a part of the industry for so long, people on social media media still body-shame her and eve call her "aunty". Yes, you read that right!

Talking about the same, Pragati Mehra told ETimes, "So many actresses have spoken about this, but people online continue to body shame women. People call me aunty because of my weight...why? I can understand when your friend's daughter calls you aunty, but these trolls use the word derogatorily. I was never a thin woman; I was always one with a large frame. When I was younger, it was easier to lose weight. But, as you age, with hormonal changes in the body, it is not easy. In my case, I have been going through some hormonal changes. But body-shaming has continued!"

Well, trolling culture has taken over social media and it's disheartening to see how celebrities have to face such things online. We strongly condemn it.
