Taking them over are Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami, now playing the characters of Abhira and Armaan respectively as the new lead couple. The introduction of this fresh generation has received a decent response from the dedicated fan base so far. Despite their recent entry into Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the makers have already mapped out various intriguing twists and turns in the storyline.

Amid all this, the ardent viewers of YRKKH are missing the previous cast, including Harshad and Pranali. In a recent interview, Karishma Sawant aka Aarohi opened up about her current equation with PraShad after the leap and exit from the long-running Star Plus show. Talking about the same to India Forums, the talented actress revealed that Pranali is like a sister to her and both of them regularly in touch.

Karishma said, "Pranali ke sath toh I'm always in touch, abhi bhi hamare DMs pe memes-wemes sab hum share karte rehte hai. Pranali ke sath toh alag hi level ka bond hai, she's like my sister. I'm there to protect her, she's there to protect me, we're always together."

Talking about her equation with Harshad Chopda, she added, "Harshad ke sath ek bohot sweet bond hai, respectful bond hai day one se. I've always, hamesha usko bohot respect se dekha hai because you know, he's experienced. He knows so much. Even though there are time jab mai Harshad ke sath I was like very friendly and all that. But, mai itna friendly nahi ho pai because I always looked at him with respect, so that has always been there."
