Stepping into the long-running show as new leads are Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami, now portraying the characters of Abhira and Armaan. The introduction of this fresh generation has garnered an okayish response from the dedicated fan base thus far. Despite their recent inclusion in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the producers have already outlined various captivating twists and turns in the storyline.

During all of this, ardent Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai viewers express their longing for the former cast, particularly Harshad and Pranali. In a recent interview with India Forums, Karishma Sawant, known for essaying Aarohi in the show, opened up about the controversies she faced during her stint in the family drama.

Talking about the same, Karishma recalled the incident when she was trolled by Harshad and Pranali's fans for allegedly liking an Instagram post taking a dig at both of them. However, the actress cleared that the post was fake and the whole controversy left her shocked.

On being asked about the rumours that made headlines during her stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Karishma stated, "Bohot saare. (laughs) Staring with, which was very disgusting rumour, jisne bhi failaya hai. Because this is not just a rumour, ye proper like photoshopping, editing and all of this came into place. There was a picture, picture blank tha aur neeche bohot kharab caption likha tha mere co-actors ke bare mei. And then there was like - 'Liked by Karishma Sawant and others.' Toh aisa photoshop karke Twitter pe daal diya tha - 'Karishma supports bodyshaming. Her co-actor is being bodyshamed. See Karishma aisi hai, waisi hai, ye wo.' So, the sad part was jo trollers hai bhi nahi, jo neutral audience hai, jinko nahi pata ki aaj photoshop kis level pe phoch gayi hai. They had started having second thoughts ki 'ye kya hai, aise kyu karegi Karishma. Haa, show mei toh villain jaisi banti bhi hai, ho bhi sakta hai.' Ye sab hone lag gaya tha. Toh I did not like that. I don't care ki haters kya kehte hai, but I care about the neutral people, jinko second thoughts aai hui thi ki 'aisa kyu kiya Karishma ne.' You know, they were very disappointed. So, that I did not like."

Now that she has cleared that the Instagram post was fake, we wonder how Harshad, Pranali, and AbhiRa fans would react.
