For those who may not know, Shivam plays the crucial role of Prem, Anupamaa's business partner and a strong source of support in her life. Interestingly, Shivam Khajuria was being considered for another Rajan Shahi show, however, things didn't work out and he eventually bagged Anupamaa. Revealing the same, the dashing TV star stated, "Actually, through DKP, I was approached for another show but I think it got scrapped or something, then I got to know about Anupama almost 2-3 days before the shoot but I had an idea as I saw the news in some news portal that Anupama is undergoing leap."

Sharing details about his character Prem, Shivam added, "Prem is like modern Krishna. (He) Loves helping people. A very happy-go-lucky guy. You'll see, he wants to find his true purpose in life in upcoming episodes. It's quite different from my past characters as it's a combination of maturity and childlike charm."

On being asked if he's feeling any kind of pressure on joining Anupamaa, he said, "Not pressurized but yes it's a big responsibility as the audience has given so much love to the show since start.
