Sai Ketan Rao On Imlie Going Off-Air: Produced by Gul Khan under 4 Lions Films, Imlie made its debut on Star Plus in 2020, featuring Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Mayuri Deshmukh in the lead roles of Imlie, Aditya, and Malini respectively. The daily soap quickly captured hearts and became one of the highest-rated shows across channels.

After being a part of Imlie for two years, Gashmeer Mahajani bid adieu to the show, prompting the introduction of Fahmaan Khan as the new male lead, Aryan Singh Rathore. The actor gained widespread recognition as Aryan, and fans adored his onscreen chemistry with Sumbul Touqeer Khan. They affectionately referred to them as AryLie and SuMaan.

IMLIE IS CONFIRMED TO GO OFF-AIR VERY SOON

After the departure the first generation, Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra entered the show as the new leads, Imlie and Atharva respectively, and won many hearts. Last year, the makers of the popular show announced the third generation leao after which Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy were introduced as the new protagonists.

For the past few months, Imlie 3 has been going through constant ups and downs in the TRP game and there were constant rumours about another generation leap. However, nothing like that is happening as the show is set to go off-air very soon. Yes, you read that right!

Recently, Imlie producer Gul Khan confirmed that the show is ending as they don't want it to witness further dip and the daily sopa is bidding adieu to the loyal viewers on a successful note. Now, lead star Sai Ketan Rao has also opened up about the same.

The talented actor, who essayed the dual roles of Agasthya Singh Chaudhary and Surya Pratap Reddy, opened up about Imlie going off-air.

Sharing his thoughts, Sai Ketan Rao told Bollywood Life, "I think shows going off-air have become very common. Shows are now going off air within 3 months. Some shows go off air within a month or two as well. Imlie is my third show and by now I know that it's a part of the journey. I gave my best, people loved it, that matters to me a lot. My first reaction was, it's part of my job, part of my journey. If a journey is starting, it will end eventually."

WHICH SHOW WILL REPLACE IMLIE?

As per the ongoing buzz, Ankit Gupta and Rutuja Bagwe's upcoming show Maati Se Bandhi Dor is likely to take the time slot of Imlie. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
