Nikitin Dheer Talks About Winning Award For Shrimad Ramayan, Punjabi Film Debut & More: It Feels…

Nikitin Dheer is beaming with happiness these days as he's happy with the way things are happening on the professional front. The actor is happy with the response to his performance as Raavan in Shrimad Ramayan and he recently won the ITA Award 2024 for his much-talked-about role.
While Nikitin Dheer has several interesting projects in his kitty, he's particularly excited about making his Punjabi film debut with Gippy Grewal's Akaal. The talented star recently talked about how 2024 turned out professionally and more.
1. The year has almost come to an end how do you look back at the year gone by and make resolutions for the coming year?
Nikitin: It has been a very fruitful year and very satisfying on the work front, with so much fun work I am very grateful to Mahadev. I don't believe in resolutions, so I stay away from that rabbit hole.
2. you are making your Punjabi Film Debut with Akaal in the coming year what made you say yes to take this on?
Nikitin: The fact that it's being made by Gippy Grewal and Humble Pictures, which is the biggest name in Punjab, and the fact that it's a very powerful and intense character was very appealing. Akaal comes this April and I am looking forward to it.
3. You won an ITA award for the great portrayal of Raavan in Shrimad Ramayan how does that feel and any more such shows for you in the near future?
Nikitin: It feels like it has come a whole circle, from that first meeting in Sidharth Tewary's house to holding the award on stage and people calling out Raavan. Feels great in every way when the hard work, sweat, and blood pay off and are appreciated by the audience.
4. Is TV a platform you shall still consider coming back to or are OTT and films keeping you busy?
Nikitin: I sincerely feel no actor is greater than the medium. There are so many stories that can be best told on television or through OTT, if I get something really worthwhile I shall leap at it on television. I have had the best time working with Swastik so if something interesting comes from them, I am all ears.
5. Next what is on your work list? Any new announcements in the pipeline?
Nikitin: I have a very interesting film happening and a fun OTT project that I am looking forward to at the start of 2025.
