Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Actor Financial Struggle: Actor Sanjay Gandhi, best known for his role as Daddaji in Hina Khan and Karan Mehra's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently disclosed that he is currently struggling to pay his house rent due to a financial crisis. Yes, you read that right!

Sanjay Gandhi mentioned that he is in dire need of money and might have to mortgage his flat in Mira Road. This is not the first time the well-known actor has faced such difficulties; in June 2021, he shared his struggles with managing daily expenses in the absence of work and income amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with ETimes, Sanjay explained that an actor's life appears glamorous when they have work, but once the jobs dry up, it leads to a sudden downturn. He is currently waiting for his role in the show Jhanak to resume.

"When I joined Jhanak, I was told I would initially shoot for around 20 days, followed by a two-month break, after which I would become an integral part of the storyline. However, so far, I have shot for a total of around 20 days over nine months and have waited patiently for my track to reopen. I haven't heard from them since May. This is the tough part of being an actor.," he said.

Sanjay highlighted his financial struggles, emphasizing the need for money to live in Mumbai and noting that acting is his only source of income.

"I need money to sustain myself in the city and I have no other source of income. Many actors struggled during the pandemic, and I, too, exhausted my savings at that time. I live in a rented house in Andheri and have been borrowing money from my friends to pay my rent. I am on the verge of mortgaging my house in Mira Road. In desperate need of money, I need to take up a new project. So, a few days ago, I quit Jhanak and I hope something good comes my way soon," Sanjay added.

Sanjay Gandhi has appeared in several TV shows, including Naagin and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He was also known to be a close friend of Rajesh Khanna and reportedly assisted Anurag Kashyap during the filming of Udaan.
