Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update July 9: Geetanjali Warns Abhira To Stay Away From Armaan & Maira

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: While Anshuman is busy with a photoshoot in tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, he receives an important phone call, momentarily stepping aside. Noticing that Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) is free, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) approaches her with the event list that Krish had earlier handed over to him.

Abhira, however, is visibly upset upon seeing Armaan. As she steps down from the stage in frustration, she loses her balance and nearly falls, but Armaan instinctively catches her in time. In that candid, emotionally charged moment, the photographer present clicks a picture of the two. Later, when the photographer shows the photo to Abhira, she is enraged.

Without a second thought, she snatches the memory card from the camera and breaks it, firmly declaring that she doesn't want any pictures with strangers.

As emotions settle, Abhira notices young Maira hiding under a table, secretly indulging in sweets. Amused and touched, she joins Maira, and the two share a light-hearted, joyful moment together, bonding over their mischief. Unbeknownst to them, Armaan watches from a distance, peeking from under the table. Seeing Abhira and Maira happy and playful brings a rare smile to his face.

The mood takes a sharp turn when the police arrive with an update about Pookie, the dog Abhira has been desperately searching for. The inspector informs her that their search in the area yielded no results and advises her to consider dropping the case, subtly implying that Pookie may no longer be alive.

Abhira is devastated and lashes out at the officers. Kaveri steps in, trying to calm her down and gently suggests that perhaps it's time to accept that Pookie might be gone. Hurt and unwilling to give up hope, Abhira storms off. In her anger and distraction, she accidentally injures her stomach.

MAIRA COMFORTS ABHIRA; BOTH SHARE A HEARTFELT MOMENT

Back in her room, Maira enters and notices Abhira in pain. With childlike tenderness, she applies some ointment to the wound and encourages Abhira to stay strong and brave. For a moment, Abhira finds unexpected comfort and peace in Maira's innocent words. However, this moment is cut short when Geetanjali enters and sternly takes Maira away, warning Abhira to stay away from her family.

Later, Armaan visits Abhira. In their conversation, Abhira opens up emotionally, admitting how adorable and funny Maira is and how much she sees Pookie in her. Armaan, deeply moved yet conflicted, chooses not to respond and quietly walks away, leaving Abhira emotionally hurt and alone once again.

Later that evening, during the pre-wedding festivities, Tanya tries to make Abhira feel included by asking her to share her favorite dishes so she can inform the chef to prepare them at home. Before Abhira can respond, Manisha interrupts, mentioning that Abhira used to love noodles. However, Abhira simply replies that she no longer eats noodles-and in fact, anything will do-hinting at the emotional void and sense of detachment she's feeling deep inside.
