YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI JUNE 2 WRITTEN UPDATE: HERE'S WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN TODAY'S EPISODE
Amid the festivities, Krish proudly introduces his family to Anshuman. However, his deliberate omission of Kaveri from the introductions doesn't go unnoticed. The atmosphere momentarily shifts when Manisha intervenes and introduces Kaveri along with Vidya and Abhira (Samridhii Shukla), revealing their identity and presence in the family circle.
Anshuman is taken aback to see the trio and is puzzled by their unexpected presence, especially in light of a recent startup pitch they had made to him. Questions swirl in his mind. As the evening progresses, Kaajal takes the initiative to gather everyone on stage for a family photograph. The moment is being broadcasted live, and elsewhere, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) catches the footage.
He is overcome with a whirlwind of emotions on seeing Abhira smiling and seemingly content amidst Krish's engagement celebration. Misled by her external cheer, Armaan assumes Abhira has moved on from their past and is now living a happy, fulfilled life. Unaware of the inner battles she continues to fight, he feels a mix of shock, sadness, and distance growing between them.
KRISH INSULTS ABHIRA, DADI SA AND VIDYA
After the engagement rituals, Anshuman and Tanya decide to leave, but not before the tension reaches a boiling point. Krish, driven by ego and unresolved resentment, taunts Abhira and arrogantly offers her a job at his firm, as if doing her a favor. Remaining composed, Abhira responds with grace, wishing him happiness and maturity, subtly pointing out his childish behavior. Her dignified response bruises Krish's pride, and in a moment of bitterness, his father steps in to insult Abhira, dismissing her as a "failure."
The insult crosses a line. Kaveri, unable to tolerate the humiliation of her loved one, slaps Krish in front of everyone, leaving the gathering in stunned silence. Without another word, Kaveri, Vidya, and Abhira walk out of the event, their dignity intact but hearts heavy.
Meanwhile, Maira, on a lighter note, shares her excitement with Armaan about an upcoming dance competition in which she and Geetanjali will participate. Armaan, still reeling from what he saw in the broadcast, nods in support, though clearly distracted by his thoughts about Abhira.
Later that evening, Kaveri, Vidya, and Abhira return home, emotionally exhausted but trying to find comfort in the little things. They stop by a street vendor and treat themselves to pav bhaji-a humble meal that feels more satisfying than any lavish party could. As they sit and eat by the roadside, Anshuman passes by in his car and sees them. Conflicted and confused, he wonders why they are having a street-side meal after attending a high-profile engagement party. His curiosity grows deeper-there's clearly more to this family and their journey than what meets the eye.
