Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In tonight's (May 17) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) lovingly hugs her daughter while travelling in the bus, cherishing a quiet moment with her. However, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) expresses his concern, asking her to stay away from the baby since she has just recovered from a fever.

His comment, though well-intentioned, comes across as cold and creates tension. Ruhi steps in, defending Abhira, and advises Armaan to act more responsibly and sensitively toward her.

Soon, the family arrives at the temple for the Nahavan Ceremony. As the rituals are about to begin, Armaan takes Pookie from Abhira's arms and sits for the Pooja, leaving Abhira feeling distanced and sidelined in what should have been a shared moment of joy. Despite her inner turmoil, Abhira quietly watches the ceremony unfold.

After the Pooja, the mood lightens as family members playfully argue over who will take selfies with baby Pookie. However, Armaan abruptly interrupts the fun, raising his voice and insisting everyone stay quiet. Eventually, they all come together to click a common family photograph with the baby, momentarily restoring the celebratory mood.

Later, Abhira, still haunted by a troubling dream she had, becomes unusually protective and refuses to leave Pookie alone even for a moment. As they participate in a charitable food service at the temple, Vidya offers to carry the baby so Abhira can focus on distributing food. Though hesitant, Abhira agrees, but her eyes remain fixed on Pookie and Vidya, uneasy with the separation.

Things take a sudden turn when Vidya and Pookie are nowhere to be found. Panic sets in among the family members, and Armaan harshly blames Abhira for the situation, accusing her of being careless. In truth, Vidya had taken the baby to a nearby temple to perform a ritual to ward off the evil eye, without informing anyone. There, she unexpectedly runs into a nurse and some suspicious men who begin blackmailing her, attempting to snatch the baby away.

ARMAAN BLAMES ABHIRA FOR POOKIE'S DISAPPEARANCE

Vidya tries to escape with Pookie, but the situation quickly escalates. At the same time, Abhira senses something is wrong and rushes to the nearby temple, where she finds Vidya being threatened. Without hesitation, Abhira intervenes and manages to grab Pookie, fleeing from the goons. As the men chase her, she calls Armaan to inform him of the crisis. Madhav, realizing the gravity of the situation, contacts the police.

In a desperate attempt to protect her daughter, Abhira hides Pookie in a large box and conceals herself inside a drum nearby. A tense sequence follows as the kidnappers search the area. Abhira eventually confronts the attackers and puts up a brave fight. Armaan arrives just in time to help her, and together they fend off the men.

However, just as they think the danger has passed, a new shock awaits them-the box in which Pookie was hidden is accidentally taken away amidst the chaos. Armaan is furious and devastated. Instead of acknowledging Abhira's bravery, he lashes out at her once again, holding her entirely responsible for their baby going missing and demanding that she bring Pookie back, further deepening the rift between them.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI AND SEPARATION

Now, it'll be interesting to see how and where they'll find baby Pookie. Also, as shown in a new promo, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is set for a six-year leap post which Armaan and Abhira will be seen living separately. While Abhira would be seen spending her life alone, Armaan will be shown as a single father.
