While Fahmaan Khan was also in contention for the same role, the former Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star is likely to get finalised for the lead role.

The Colors show will reportedly revolve around a female character and if everything falls in place, Harshad is going to play the female lead in it. While an official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited, this development has been getting a mixed response from the actor's fans.

While a large section of his well-wishers are elated with the news, some fans are expressing their displeasure on social media as they feel more focus will be on the heroine as its the story of a female boxer.

The ongoing reports also suggest that actress Munira Kudrati is going to play the female protagonist opposite Harshad in Mukkebaaz. For those unaware, the actress was seen portraying an important character in Bhagyalakshmi.
