Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update January 14: Myra Ignores Abhira’s Efforts, And The Reason Is Meher

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In tonight's (January 14) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, emotions run high as Kaveri opens her heart to Abhira 9Samridhii Shukla), telling her that no one can truly understand how long she has waited for this special day. With a warm smile, she asks Abhira what gift she plans to give little Myra and jokingly wonders if she will bring stars from the sky for her.

Abhira replies tenderly that Myra already has stars in her life. She shares that she has baked a cake with her own hands and has also arranged a magic show to make the celebration memorable. Though slightly anxious, Abhira asks if Myra will like it, and Kaveri reassures her that the little girl will love every bit of it.

Soon, Krish calls Abhira and Armaan (Rohit Purohit) to join Myra's cake-cutting ceremony. Tanya notices a sudden change in Krish's behavior and asks what has gotten into him. Krish casually admits that he only wants to impress Armaan. As Abhira brings in the lovingly prepared cake, Myra is just about to cut it when Meher and the Mittal family make a dramatic entry, bringing with them a massive designer cake and a pile of gifts.

In the chaos and excitement, Myra unknowingly ends up ruining Abhira's cake. Abhira is left stunned on seeing Meher and the Mittals there. While Myra is dazzled by the grandeur of the new cake, Abhira quietly bends down to collect the broken pieces of her own. Vani comes to her side, helps her, and gently wipes her tears, offering silent support.

Armaan, disturbed by the sudden turn of events, questions Meher about the need to bring such an elaborate cake and so many presents. Madhav also asks why another cake was brought when everything had already been arranged. Meher defends herself, saying that since Armaan did not allow her to plan Myra's birthday, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Later, Armaan looks for Abhira and finds her deeply hurt. She confronts him about how the Mittals were invited. Armaan clarifies that Meher had come on her own and that he had no idea she would bring another cake.

Abhira pours out her pain, saying that everyone was so busy admiring Meher's grand gesture that no one even noticed her cake getting destroyed, except Vani. When Armaan asks why she is so upset, specifically with Meher and Shriram, Abhira almost reveals the truth about the Mittals but stops herself midway.

Meher approaches Abhira and asks if she is angry with her, but Abhira avoids her. She gently shields Vani and asks her to sit in her room, assuring her that she is not being punished. Abhira explains that with so many guests around, Vani might get uncomfortable if people start questioning her.

The Poddar family then asks Myra to cut the cake, but the little girl keeps looking around for Abhira and Armaan. Sensing Abhira's pain, Kaveri questions Mittal about the need for another cake. Mittal replies that Meher only wanted to surprise Myra and adds that Myra seems happy. Still, Myra's eyes search for Abhira.

Meher asks Armaan if Abhira is upset because of her. Armaan decides to call Abhira, but Meher insists on speaking to her herself. Abhira finally returns and says that she is not so upset that she would miss Myra's birthday. She encourages Myra to cut the cake. Myra lovingly feeds the first bite to Abhira and then to Armaan, but Arman refuses to eat it.

When Myra asks why, Armaan brings out Abhira's cake and explains that her mother had baked it with so much love, but it was ignored because a bigger, more glamorous cake arrived. Realizing her mistake, Myra feels guilty and feeds both Abhira and Armaan from the homemade cake, honoring her mother's efforts.

Watching the three of them share this emotional moment, Meher is left burning with anger and jealousy. On the other hand, Krish thinks to himself that Abhira and Armaan should cherish this happiness, as it may not last for long.
