Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In tonight's (January 16) emotionally charged episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) pulls Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) aside, unable to hide the storm of thoughts raging within him. Meanwhile, Mittal firmly tells Meher that she cannot so easily destroy the web of lies he has carefully spun around her.

As tensions rise in the house, Vani gently offers a tissue to a sobbing Myra, and the simple gesture leaves Myra overwhelmed with emotion.

However, the moment quickly turns bitter when Vidya confronts Vani, accusing her of deliberately ruining Myra's birthday out of jealousy. She reminds Vani that Abhira had strictly told her not to come in front of the Mittals and demands to know why she stepped out of her room. Kaveri, sensing something amiss, asks Vidya if she already knew about Vani's presence, and Vidya admits that she did.

Elsewhere, Armaan finally confronts Abhira about the lie that has been troubling him. He questions whether she ever doubted his capabilities and secretly approached Rajat's family behind his back. Abhira assures him that she never once questioned his talent or integrity. In a moment of hurt pride, Armaan pulls out his certificates, asking if she thinks they are fake, too.

Abhira reiterates her faith in him, but as she reaches out to comfort him, one of the certificates slips from his hand and falls to the floor, symbolically reflecting his shaken confidence. Unbeknownst to them, Myra and Vani overhear their intense argument.

Overcome with anger and betrayal, Armaan says he regrets trusting Abhira despite Krish's warning. Abhira, holding back tears, pleads for a chance to explain, just as he once gave the Mittals an opportunity to defend themselves. She then drops a bombshell: Armaan had unknowingly saved a criminal. According to her, Meher had killed Rajat without any real reason, and the Mittals later bribed the witnesses to bury the truth. Armaan is left stunned.

Kaveri tries to dismiss Abhira's claims, telling Armaan not to burden himself with guilt and questioning how Abhira could trust Anita's words. She suggests that Anita may have lied to protect Vani. But Abhira stands her ground, reminding Kaveri that Anita consumed poison in front of her and that a person on their deathbed does not lie.

She asks Kaveri if she truly believes she would put Armaan through such pain without being absolutely certain. Abhira further reveals that Meher murdered Rajat in a fit of rage after losing an award to him. The truth crushes Armaan, and he walks away, shattered.

On the other side, Meher grows anxious that Vani might have exposed everything. While Mittal tries to calm her, she fears that Armaan may turn against her. In a chilling confession, she admits that she would have killed Vani and Anita on the same day and even threatens to kill Vani and Abhira if she ever lands in jail. Mittal coldly assures her that such a day will never come.

Back at the Poddar house, everyone decides to speak to Armaan, but he locks himself away, refusing to see anyone. Torn between denial and the harsh truth, he begins blaming himself for both Rajat's and Anita's deaths. Abhira stands outside the washroom door, begging him to open it and promising that she will not leave his side.

In a moment of utter despair, Armaan attempts to end his life, saying it is too late to start over. Abhira desperately pleads with him, but her attention is suddenly diverted when Surekha calls to inform her about Myra.

Abhira rushes to find Myra completely broken, while Vani is also seen crying inconsolably. Caught between the two, Abhira feels torn, unsure of whom to console first.
