Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: In tonight's (January 2) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) anxiously waits for Armaan (Rohit Purohit) while spending time with little Maira, trying to keep her engaged despite her growing concern. Her restlessness continues until Armaan finally calls, asking her to bring some important files.

When Abhira reaches him, she is taken aback to see that he is working from Shrishyam Mittal's office. Questioning his presence there, Abhira learns that Armaan has taken on Meher Mittal's case. She wonders why he agreed to represent Meher so quickly, especially during their very first meeting.

Armaan calmly but firmly explains that he is convinced Meher is innocent and believes the incident was a case of self-defence. Wanting to support ArmaAn in every possible way, Abhira hands over Akshara's savings and urges him to use the money, hoping it will reduce his stress and help him focus on the case.

She reassures him that she wants to contribute equally during this difficult phase. Moved by her gesture, ArmaAn promises to soon reclaim the firm and set everything right. Abhira later invites ArmaAn to join the Christmas celebrations, but he declines, explaining that work pressure will not allow him to take a break.

Meanwhile, Maira eagerly waits for both Abhira and Armaan, hoping to celebrate Christmas together. Seeing Maira's disappointment, Abhira decides to cheer her up by dressing as Santa Claus. When Maira asks about ArmaAn's absence, Abhira gently explains that just as they miss Kaveri's smile, Arman is working tirelessly to bring that smile back, which is why he cannot be with them for Christmas. Understanding the situation, Maira accepts Arman's absence, and Abhira makes sure the festivities remain joyful for her.

During the celebration, Vidya opens her gift, leaving Kaveri deeply shocked when she sees the broken nameplate of Poddar Associates inside. Sensing Kaveri's distress, Abhira immediately saves the plate from further damage and consoles her, assuring her that the firm's identity and legacy will soon be restored.

Kajal appears unusually unsettled, and when Abhira asks if she is worried about Krish, Kajal admits she does not know where he is but feels an unexpected sense of relief that he did not attend the party. Tanya questions Sanjay about whether he has spoken to Krish, and Sanjay assures her that he will try to reconnect with him and bring him back home. Tanya, however, continues to remain worried.

Elsewhere, a heartbroken and intoxicated Krish believes his family has completely disowned him after he sold the firm without their consent. Lost in despair, he encounters the same goons who had earlier harassed Abhira. Taking advantage of his vulnerable state, the goons manipulate Krish and question how he plans to pay for more drinks. They then propose a dangerous deal-if Armaan loses Meher's case, they will give Krish fifty lakhs.

However, if Armaan wins, Krish must bring Abhira to them. When Krish questions their motive, they remind him that Abhira had slapped them earlier. In his drunken haze, Krish wrongly assumes they merely want to apologise to her and agrees to the bet, unaware that someone nearby is secretly recording their entire conversation.

Back at the Poddar house, Abhira insists that Kaveri cut the Christmas cake and reassures her that Armaan will soon win back the firm. Though the family remains tense and emotionally drained, they come together to celebrate the festival. Later that night, Abhira meets Armaan and lovingly feeds him cake and coffee, offering him a brief moment of warmth amid his exhausting schedule.

As the evening progresses, Armaan asks Abhira to return home, explaining that he will be late due to his new case. Abhira mentions her upcoming court hearing, but Armaan gently asks her not to take on any new cases and instead focus on managing the family during this critical phase.

He admits that he is able to stay focused and strong only because Abhira is holding everything together at home. Armaan further insists that until he wins back the Poddar firm, Abhira should step away from her professional commitments.
