Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: Tonight's (July 20) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins on an emotional note as Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) confesses to Armaan (Rohit Purohit) that she doesn't feel ready to take over the family law firm. The immense responsibility overwhelms her, and she fears she won't be able to live up to everyone's expectations.

Armaan realizes that in trying to prepare her for the future, he unintentionally burdened her with too much pressure. Feeling guilty, he sincerely apologizes and assures her that he will never force her to become someone she isn't.

Armaan tells her that along with BSP, Myra and Mukti will always remain her biggest pillars of strength.

Encouraged by Arman's faith in her, Abhira gathers the courage to step into her new role. The Poddar family proudly welcomes her as she agrees to join the firm. The atmosphere is celebratory, but amidst the happiness, Sanjay stands silently, overwhelmed with emotion. Seeing his disappointment, Abhira walks up to him and embraces both Kajal and Tanya, hoping to keep the family united despite the changing circumstances.

Meanwhile, away from the celebrations, Tanya quietly tells Kajal that the house is empty and this is the perfect opportunity for them to leave. She believes that once they settle elsewhere, they can inform the Poddars later. Kajal is torn between her promise to Tanya and her emotional attachment to the Poddar family. Tanya notices Kajal's dilemma and feels guilty for putting her in such a difficult position.

At the firm's board meeting, Sanjay openly admits that despite giving the company his best, he couldn't run it successfully. However, he insists that his loyalty towards the firm was always genuine. Accepting defeat, he announces his decision to resign and leave.

Just as Sanjay is about to walk away, Abhira stops him. At the same time, Tanya asks Kajal to accompany her. Krish pleads with Kajal not to leave the family, but Kajal explains that she cannot break the promise she made to Tanya. In a surprising twist, Tanya herself releases Kajal from that promise, allowing her to stay with the Poddars if that's what truly makes her happy. Back in the boardroom, the members are shocked when Abhira announces that she wants to reappoint Sanjay instead of accepting his resignation. The board questions her decision, considering Sanjay's recent failures.
