Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: Tonight's (July 24) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Maira nervously reading her thesis to her friend, hoping for some encouragement. Instead, her friend bluntly compares it with Mukti's work, saying it is nowhere near as good. Feeling even more insecure, she hands Maira what she claims is a soft drink, but it is actually an alcoholic beverage.

She tells Maira that drinking it will help her relax and focus better on her thesis. Just as Maira is about to take a sip, Mukti arrives in time and stops her, sensing that something is wrong.

Elsewhere, Aniket questions Armaan (Rohit Purohit) about the party and asks whether any of the girls accidentally consumed alcohol. Armaan confidently dismisses the possibility, insisting that Maira and Mukti do not even drink tea or coffee. Aniket, however, warns him that a soft drink company has allegedly been promoting an alcoholic beverage disguised as a regular drink, making it easy for teenagers to consume it unknowingly.

At the same time, Maira and Mukti get into an argument over the incident. Armaan notices the tension and asks what happened, but both girls lie to him, hiding the truth. He then calls everyone for dinner.

Meanwhile, Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) presents an innovative proposal to reopen the Poddar Academy so that the former employees do not lose their jobs. The board members appreciate her vision and immediately approve the idea, leaving Sanjay stunned. Back at home, the family gathers for dinner, but Myra insists that she would rather eat outside in the fresh air.

Elsewhere, Disha secretly throws away her food, and Maira follows her lead by disposing of her own meal. The two promise each other that no one will ever find out about their secret. Later, Disha reveals that she has ordered food and offers to share it with Maira.

Surprisingly, Maira refuses, saying she is not hungry. Disha jokingly reminds her that she had overeaten during the pajama party, but Maira becomes confused. She wonders why she has completely lost her appetite despite barely eating anything over the last few days.

The pressure of completing her thesis continues to overwhelm Maira. Desperate for inspiration, she secretly picks up Mukti's thesis and starts reading it. Mukti catches her in the act, creating another awkward confrontation between them.

At the same time, Abhira happily informs the Poddars that her proposal has been officially approved. The family celebrates her success, but Maira quietly compares herself to Abhira. She feels guilty and believes that while Abhira keeps making everyone proud, she is unable to achieve anything. Armaan proudly congratulates Abhira, while Sanjay silently vows not to spare her. Suddenly, he notices something unexpected and is left completely shocked.

Wanting to celebrate together, Abhira asks Maira and Mukti why they have not congratulated her. She warmly hugs Maira but immediately senses that something is wrong when she notices Maira's hands trembling. Concerned, she asks what has happened. Mukti then reveals that Maira has hardly eaten anything for several days and has only been surviving on lychee drinks.

Sanjay wastes no time in accusing Abhira of being an irresponsible mother. Claiming that Maira has been consuming alcohol, he blames Abhira for failing to notice what was happening in her own daughter's life. He taunts her, saying she knows everything about the employees but remains unaware of her own children's struggles, calling her a failed mother.

Maira immediately steps in to defend Abhira. She confronts Sanjay for making serious accusations without knowing the complete truth and firmly clarifies that she never consumed alcohol. Mukti also supports Maira, explaining that Maira had only been drinking lychee juice, not alcohol. Maira emotionally tells everyone that Abhira and Armaan are the best parents she could ever ask for, which is exactly why Vidya chose her to become a scholar. Overwhelmed by the situation, she walks away.

Armaan then confronts Vidya for constantly comparing Maira with Mukti. He reminds her that every child is unique and parents should never force comparisons or burden their children with unrealistic expectations. He speaks about how excessive pressure can affect a child's confidence and emotional well-being.

Realising that Maira needs her the most, Kaveri asks Armaan to go after her. Abhira, deeply shaken by Sanjay's harsh words, breaks down and blames herself, believing that she has failed as a mother despite doing everything she could for her daughter.
