Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update May 18: Armaan Disappoints Abhira Again, Tanya Demands Divorce

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today Episode: Tonight's (May 18) episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opens on an emotional note as Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) and Armaan (Rohit Purohit) remain lost in thoughts of each other despite the growing distance between them. Both silently struggle with the pain of separation and reflect on how their relationship has changed because of constant misunderstandings and family interference.

While Abhira waits for Armaan, Maira and Mukti become determined to reunite the couple. They believe Abhira and Armaan still deeply love one another and are simply trapped in circumstances beyond their control. Maira emotionally says that only God can now guide them back together.

Soon, Abhira calls Armaan, hoping to mend things between them. However, Armaan disappoints her by saying he no longer wishes to come for their planned date. The conversation quickly turns emotional and intense. Abhira tells Armaan that she has finally understood the real issue in their marriage - according to her, they are happy together only until outside matters and family problems enter their relationship.

She accuses Armaan of prioritizing his brother and ignoring what his mother was trying to explain earlier. Their unresolved issues once again create a wall between them, leaving Kaveri deeply worried about the future of their marriage. The argument intensifies as Armaan tells Abhira that she cannot keep blaming him for every mistake. Abhira counters by accusing him of not trusting her.

Armaan reveals that he waited for two painful weeks hoping she would return, only to feel betrayed and heartbroken. Abhira then explains her side of the story, saying she did come back after two weeks but Vidya refused to let her meet him. Armaan is shocked that Abhira believed he could ever send her custody papers. Abhira emotionally admits that Vidya frightened her by saying Maira's health could worsen because of her presence.

Armaan insists that Abhira should have trusted him enough to contact him directly, but Abhira reminds him how he separated her from Maira not once, but twice. Their confrontation turns deeply emotional as old wounds resurface. Armaan says that throughout his life he kept proving himself to everyone and did not want Maira to feel unwanted the same way he once did.

Because of this fear, he expected Abhira to constantly prove her love and commitment toward Maira. Abhira becomes furious and tells him that motherhood is not something that needs proof. She accuses Armaan of being irrational and letting fear destroy their relationship.

On the other side, another family drama unfolds. Manisha and Manoj inform Armaan that Aryan is adamant about going to Disha's house and staying there until she calms down. Armaan tries to explain to Aryan that emotionally pressuring Disha and her family will only worsen the situation.

At the same time, Tanya shocks the family by demanding a divorce from Krish. Krish refuses to accept her decision, while Kajal urges Abhira to intervene and help settle the matter. Abhira advises Krish and Tanya to resolve their issues maturely and privately instead of dragging the family into it.
