Kumkum Bhagya leap: Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul is all set to follow the footsteps of Imlie, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Udaariyaan and take a big generation leap. After the reports of a time jump spread like wildfire on the internet, fans became worried about the fate of PranBir.

WILL MUGDHA CHAPHEKAR QUIT KUMKUM BHAGYA?

While Krishna Kaul confirmed that he would remain a part of Kumkum Bhagya after the leap, Mugdha didn't react to her exit from the show. In a recent media interaction, she spoke about continuing her stint with the Zee TV serial.

While gossip mills suggested that Mugdha would make a graceful exit, she has revealed that she would continue to feature in the daily soap. She told Telly Masala. "Ye sach definitely nahi hai ki hum jaa rahe hai. Ye mai clear kar dun, hum nahi jaa rahe hai, we're very much part of the show. Definitely, because Kumkum Bhagya hamara show hai, so hum sab jude hue hai, the first generation, the second generation, aur jo bhi aaenge, agar aaenge toh, hum pyaar se welcome karenge and we're very much a part of it. Aur mazedaar hoga, itna promise mai aapse zarur kar sakti hun, lekin kahani hai, aage toh badhna hi hai."

WHEN IS LEAP IN KUMKUM BHAGYA? LATEST UPDATE

An industry source exclusively told Filmibeat, "The leap is definitely happening in Kumkum Bhagya. While Mugdha denied the buzz, we have heard that the generation leap is on the cards. The production house might have asked the artists to not speak up about the time jump. However, the creative team is busy chalking out a proper plan to introduce a new sequence in the show. The leap has worked well for Kundali Bhagya and the makers are hopeful that the same thing can bring freshness to Kumkum Bhagya."

The khabri added, "Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul have been retained following the leap. However, they will eventually move when the leads are settled and the viewers accept them. It will be a smooth transition so that nothing looks forced on the screen. The leap track is expected to start after the makers finalise the leads for the show."

Kumkum Bhagya earlier starred Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia as leads.
