Baapu Story

Baapu is a Telugu comedy-drama movie directed by Dayakar Reddy K. The movie casts Brahmaji, Amani, and Dhanya Balakrishna in the main lead roles along with Balagam Sudhakar Reddy, Mani Aegurla, Avasarala Srinivas, and many others have seen in supporting roles. The music was composed by RR Dhruvan while the cinematography was done by Vasu Pendem and it is edited by Aalayam Anil. The film is produced by Raju ch. Bhanu Prasad Reddy under Comrade Film Factory, Atheera banners.

Story

In a small village in Telangana, Mallayya (Brahmaji) struggles to make ends meet due to severe financial difficulties. He leads a burdened life with his wife Saroja (Aamani), son Raju (Mani Egurla), daughter Varalakshmi (Dhanya Balakrishna), and father Rajaiah (Balgam Sudhakar Reddy). To make matters worse, he incurs huge debts after suffering losses in the cotton crop. The moneylenders, unable to recover their dues, start pressuring him, demanding either repayment or the sale of his farmland. Feeling trapped and helpless, Mallayya sees suicide as his only way out.

Meanwhile, another character, Rachcha Ravi, stumbles upon a golden goddess idol, but his mother (Gangavva) throws it into a well.

How did Mallayya fall into this debt trap? Despite a good cotton yield, why did he suffer such huge losses? What led him to the drastic decision of suicide? How did his life turn into a nightmare after making this choice? What advice did his wife Saroja give to save him? In his desperate attempt to free himself from debts, what extreme step did his father Rajaiah consider? What is the fate of Raju’s love story and Varalakshmi’s romantic journey? Did Rachcha Ravi finally get the golden goddess idol? Who ultimately laid hands on it?
