Champion Story
Champion is an upcoming Telugu period sports action drama directed by Pradeep Advaitham. The film stars Roshann Meka and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, with an ensemble supporting cast that includes Kay Kay Menon, Santhosh Prathap, Kovai Sarala, Vennela Kishore, Naresh, and Murli Sharma. The music is composed by Mickey J Meyer, while the visuals are captured by Madhie ISC, and the editing is handled by veteran editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The movie is jointly produced by Priyanka Dutt, GK Mohan, and Gemini Kiran under the banners of Swapna Cinema, Zee Studios, and Anandi Art Creations.
Story
Michael (Roshan Meka), a resident of the Secunderabad region, is an aspiring football player with big dreams. He almost gets an opportunity to play for a Manchester-based football club in England, but the chance slips away unexpectedly. Determined to reach England somehow and become a successful footballer, Michael continues to chase his ambition relentlessly.
At the same time, several movements erupt across the Hyderabad State against the Razakars. In these turbulent circumstances, Michael agrees to transport weapons to the Bidar region as a means to arrange his journey to England. However, things do not go as planned, forcing him to take refuge in Bhairanpally. Under these circumstances, Michael is compelled to take up arms and stand against both the Hyderabad government and the Razakars.
How did Michael emerge as a football champion representing the Secunderabad team against the Hyderabad government team? Why did he lose the opportunity to play for the Manchester club despite getting selected? What efforts did he make to travel to England? Why did he agree to transport weapons to Bidar, and what prevented him from reaching there? Why was Michael forced to stay in Bhairanpally, and how did the events that unfolded there change the course of his life? The answers to these questions form the crux of the movie Champion.
