Jatadhara Story
Jatadhara is a bilingual action-adventure fantasy thriller simultaneously made in Telugu and Hindi, directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal. The film features Sudheer Babu, Sonakshi Sinha, and Divya Khosla in the lead roles, supported by a stellar ensemble cast including Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, Srinivas Avasarala, Rohit Pathak, and many others. The music is composed by Rajeev Raj, while Sameer Kalyani handles the cinematography. The movie is jointly produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal, and Nikhil Nanda under the Zee Studios banner.
Story
Shiva (Ghost Hunter) searches abandoned and ancient buildings, investigating the presence of spirits and supernatural entities. He decides to write a book based on the question of whether ghosts truly exist or not. Shiva is in love with Sitara (Divya Khosla). When he decides to travel to Rudrayapura, a village known for mysterious occurrences, his parents (Rajeev Kanakala and Jhansi) become very worried. They plead with him not to go and finally reveal the truth about Shiva’s past.
What exactly is Shiva’s past? What connection does he have with Rudrayapura? Why is the Treasure Spirit (Sonakshi Sinha) believed to be haunting the ancient mansion in that village? What happened during the treasure hunt at Rudrayapura? What attempts did Shiva make to right the injustice that happened to his family? And what did he do to bring peace to the souls of his parents and help them attain salvation?
The answers to these questions form the story of Jatadhara.
Release Date
Jatadhara was released simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi across theaters on November 7, 2025.
