Kothapallilo Okappudu Story

Kothapallilo Okappudu is an upcoming Telugu rural drama directed by Praveena Paruchuri. The film features Manoj Chandra, Monika T, and Usha Bonela in the lead roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Ravindra Vijay, Benerjee, Bongu Satti, Phani, Premsagar, and others.

The songs are composed by Mani Sharma, with a background score by Varun Unni. Petros Antoniadis handles the cinematography, while editing is done by Kiran R. The film is jointly produced by Gopalakrishna Paruchuri and Praveena Paruchuri under the Paruchuri Vijaya Praveena Arts banner.

Story

In the village of Kothapalli lives Ramakrishna (Manoj Chandra), a carefree youth who works for Appanna (Ravindra Vijay), a ruthless moneylender who torments the villagers. Tensions arise between Appanna and the village head Reddy (Banerjee), who disapproves of Appanna’s influence. Ramakrishna falls for Reddy’s daughter Savitri (Monika T). However, when Reddy attempts to forcibly marry Ramakrishna to a tribal girl (Usha Banale), it’s Appanna who intervenes and prevents the wedding. Unexpectedly, Appanna dies under mysterious circumstances, and the villagers begin to worship him as a deity.

The story dives into how Ramakrishna tries to stop Appanna’s wrongdoings, the real reason behind the Reddy, Appanna rivalry, and why Reddy wanted Ramakrishna to marry a tribal girl. It questions how Appanna blocked the wedding, the mystery behind his sudden death, and why the villagers idolized a man who once oppressed them. As the worship of Appanna as a god unsettles Reddy, the resolution to this conflict and whether the villagers' faith shifts form the crux of Kothapallilo Okappudu.
