The Girlfriend Story

The Girlfriend movie is a Telugu romantic drama film written and directed by Rahul Ravindran. The movie casts Rashmika Mandanna, Dheekshit Shetty, and Anu Emmanuel in the main lead roles along with Rao Ramesh, Rohini, Rahul Ravindran, and many others in supporting roles. The music was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, and Prashanth R Vihari scored background music while while the cinematography was done by Krishnan Vasant, and it was edited by Chota K Prasad. The film is jointly produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni under Geetha Arts & Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment banners.

Story

At Ramalingayya College, Bhama Devi alias Bhooma (Rashmika Mandanna), Vikram (Deekshith Shetty), and Durga (Anu Emmanuel) join the same post-graduation course. Vikram, known for his angry-young-man attitude, becomes close friends with Durga, but eventually falls in love with Bhooma. Vikram loves Bhooma intensely but is also very possessive by nature. He wants Bhooma to stay under her complete control, which begins to create strain in their relationship. Unable to handle Vikram’s possessiveness, Bhooma faces emotional pressure and eventually initiates a breakup.

Despite being close, why did Vikram never fall in love with Durga? Why did he love Bhooma alone? What made him want to become Bhooma’s entire world? And why did Vikram expect Bhooma to live only within his world? How did Bhooma react to Vikram’s overwhelming and obsessive love? What did Durga feel while witnessing the relationship between Bhooma and Vikram? Why did Bhooma decide to break up with Vikram? What was Bhooma’s father’s reaction when he learned about their affair? Ultimately, what led Bhooma to develop hatred towards Vikram?
