She was born on July 4, 1996, in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, to CH Radha Krishna and his wife CH Sri Jhansi. Interestingly, she has an elder sister named Mounima Bhatla, who is also a talented singer.

Damini's musical journey began with a foundation in Carnatic music, under the guidance of Smt. Akunda Satyavathi in Kakinada, before the family relocated to Hyderabad from Rajahmundry. Subsequently, she continued her musical education under the tutelage of Sri DV Mohan Krishna and later, Sri NC Murthy for further Carnatic training.
