Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Father Joseph Prabhu Passes Away; Actress Shares Heartwarming Post, DEETS
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's father, Joseph Prabhu, passed away. The actress shared a heartwarming post on Friday in the evening announcing the death of her father. Taking to Instagram, Samantha wrote, "Until we meet again dad", with a broken heart emoji.
A fan club of the actress broke the news sharing the screenshot and wrote, "Our deepest condolences to u and your family sam @Samanthaprabhu2. May his soul rest in peace. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers 🙏"
Who Is Joseph Prabhu?
Joseph Prabhu was an Anglo-Indian and played an integral part in Samantha's upbringing. He was married to Ninette Prabhu, Samantha's mother. Recently in her interview with Galatta Plus, the actress opened up and shed light to her equation with father, Samantha said, "All my life growing up, I had to fight for validation. My father was kind of like... I think most Indian parents are like that. They think they're protecting you." Samantha further revealed how her father underestimated her abilities which left a lasting impact on her personality and character, she said, "He actually told me, 'You're not that smart. This is just the standard of Indian education. That's why even you can get a first rank.' When you say that to a child, I really believed for the longest time that I'm not smart and not good enough."
Jospeh Prabhu made a rare comment on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce a year after the incident took place. He shared a throwback picture of the couple, who ended their marriage in 2021, and mentioned how it took him a long time to accept the fact that they are not together anymore.
