As per the recent updates, it has been confirmed that the long-awaited Boyapati Sreenu directorial is releasing this month itself. Akhanda 2 will hit the theatres across the globe on Friday, December 12, 2025, ahead of the Christmas celebrations. As per the recent updates, it has been confirmed that the fantasy action drama is going to have a massive global release, with a huge number of screens, as expected earlier. The new update came out as a big relief to Balakrishna's die-hard fans.

The recent reports also suggest that Akhanda 2 will have its special premiere shows both in the Telugu states and the overseas centers. According to the latest updates, the premiere shows of the Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected to begin after 9 PM, on December 11, 2025. The shows are expected to continue till the early morning of December 12, 2025. The normal shows, however, will begin at 9 AM, on the actual release date.

Akhanda 2 Thandavam, which is scripted by director Boyapati Sreenu himself, is a sequel to the blockbuster film Akhanda, which hit the theatres in 2021. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead opposite Balakrishna in the film, which stars Aadhi Pinishetty, Pragya Jaiswal, Harshaali Malhotra, Jagapathi Babu, Kabir Duhan Singh, Saswata Chatterjee, Ronson Vincent, Kriss Venugopal, Achyuth Kumar, Poorna, and others in the pivotal roles. Thaman S Has composed the songs and original score for the film.
