Varanasi OTT Rights SOLD: Where To Watch SS Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu Film? The Baahubali director and Telugu superstar are teaming for the first time in their careers, for the epic action-adventure film. Mahesh Babu appears in the lead role in Varanasi, which features Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the female lead, and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist. Reportedly, the OTT rights of Varanasi have been sold for a record price.

Recently, the leading film industry tracker X handle Chitrambhalare revealed that the SS Rajamouli directorial has landed the biggest OTT deal in the history of Telugu film industry, so far. If the reports are to be believed, the OTT rights of Varanasi have been bagged by the streaming giant Netflix, for a record price. However, the makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer are yet to officially confirm these reports officially.

However, the grapevine suggests that Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Varanasi in all languages. In that case, the highly anticipated film will have its OTT release in the leading platform in at least 5 languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannadan, and Hindi. Varanasi will stream on Netflix only after completing its lifetime run at the theatres.

Varanasi Cast And Crew

Mahesh Babu is set to play a double role in the highly anticipated film as Rudra, a fierce man from the present day and the mythological character Lord Ram. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to play the role of Mandakini, who becomes Rudra's ally in his mission, while Prithviraj Sukumaran appears as Kumbha, a highly intelligent man with a master plan, but tied into his wheelchair due to alignment. R Madhavan is reportedly approached to play the role of Lord Hanuman, in Varanasi.

Academy award-winning musician MM Keeravani composes the songs and the original score for Varanasi. PS Vinod handles the cinematography and Thammi Raju handles the editing of the film, which is jointly penned by V Vijayendra Prasad, SS Rajamouli, and SS Kanchi. The magnum opus is produced by Sri Durga Arts.
