Varanasi Update: R Madhavan Approached To Play THIS Role In SS Rajamouli’s Film?
R Madhavan Approached For SS Rajamouli's Varanasi: Mahesh Babu, the Telugu superstar, is teaming up with the Baahubali maker SS Rajamouli for his 29th outing in films. The project, which has been titled Varanasi, recently had its first official event at Hyderabad in the presence of the cast and crew members. The filming of Varanasi is still in the initial stages, and director SS Rajamouli and his team are reportedly still busy casting for the film.
If the recent updates are to be believed, R Madhavan, the celebrated actor has been approached to join the star cast of Varanasi. Even though the Alaipayuthey star is yet to sign the dotted line, rumour mills suggest that the talks are nearing final stages, and he is highly likely to come on board for the Mahesh Babu starrer. Even though the team remains tight-lipped about this development, reports on Madhavan's role in the film are creating major stir on social media.

According to the grapevine, SS Rajamouli and his team are considering R Madhavan to play the iconic mythological character, Lord Hanuman, in Varanasi. The recent updates suggest that the master craftsman is planning to present the legendary character from Ramayana in all his glory, but with some major twists. If things go as planned, the team might officially announce the new Varanasi cast update with a special social media post, very soon.
The SS Rajamouli directorial, which is touted to be a fantasy adventure thriller, marks Mahesh Babu's 29th outing in films. The popular star is playing the role of Rudra in the film, which features Malayalam actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of the lead antagonist, Kumbh. Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas is making a grand comeback to the India cinema with Varanasi, playing the role of Mandakini. The songs and original score for the project are composed by MM Keeravani, the Academy award-winning musician.
