Interestingly, the movie has now surpassed the lifetime collections of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

For the uninitiated, the Allu Arjun starrer, directed by Trivikram had made a total worldwide collection of ₹250 crore from its lifetime run at the theatres. Now, Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi's film which stars Nayanthara as the female lead, surpassed the lifetime collections of Allu Vaikunthapurramuloo in just 12 days. MSG is expected to cross the ₹300 crore mark at the worldwide box office, in a a few days.

Chiranjeevi plays the titular character, a senior officer who works in the National Security Agency in the Anil Ravipudi film. Nayanthara appears in the role of Vara Prasad's estranged wife Shashirekha, who is an accomplished businesswoman. Mana Shankaravarapradad Garu revolves around the protagonist's struggles to reunite with his wife and children, with whom he separated after an unfortunate event.

Venkatesh Daggubati appears in an extended cameo appearance in Mana Shankaravaraprasad Garu, which stars Catherine Thresa, Zarina Wahab, Harsh Vardhan, Sudev Nair, Abhinav Gomatham, Sachin Khedekar, Sharat Saxena, VTV Ganesh, and others in the supporting roles..
