Spirit Cast Update: Chiranjeevi To Play Prabhas' Father In Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Film? The highly anticipated action thriller, which marks the first collaboration of the Telugu superstar and hitmaker has been making headlines with the updates on its star cast. Recently, it was rumoured that megastar Chiranjeevi is gearing up to join Spirit, thus marking his first collaboration with Prabhas.

Recently, it was rumoured that Chiranjeevi is all set to join the star cast of Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial soon. According to the grapevine, the megastar was supposed to play the role of the father of the protagonist, played by Prabhas, in Spirit. It was even rumoured that the Mana Shankaravaraprasad Garu will appear in the second half of the film, in the flashback portions, and has a screentime of around 15 minutes.

However, the sources close to the project have now rubbished the reports yet again, and confirmed that the veteran actor is not a part of the pan-Indian project. The recent updates by Gulte X handle suggests that Chiranjeevi is not approached to play the role of Prabhas' father, or any other character, in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed yet.

As reported earlier, senior Telugu star Gopichand Malineni is reportedly approached to play the lead antagonist, in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film. If things go as planned, Spirit will mark Gopichand's first onscreen collaboration with the leading man Prabhas. Now, some unconfirmed reports suggest that Prakash Raj, who is confirmed as a part of the Spirit star cast, will play the role of protagonist's father.

Tripti Dimri is appearing as the female lead opposite Prabhas in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, which reportedly stars Korean-American Don Lee and Vivek Oberoi in the key roles. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the music score for Spirit, which is jointly produced by T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures.
