The hitmaker is teaming with Telugu superstar Prabhas for the big budget venture, which is touted to be an action thriller. Spirit has now got a release date, and Prabhas' film is not releasing anytime soon.

Recently, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and his team took to their official social media handles and dropped the long-awaited release date for the upcoming Prabhas starrer, with a special post. Spirit, which marks the first collaboration of the actor-director duo, has been slated to hit the theatres across the globe on March 5, 2027.

Even though the Telugu cinema audiences are excited about the new announcement, the release date of the upcoming Prabhas starrer has not pleased the superstar's fans for obvious reasons. It is now confirmed that there are over 14 months left for the release of Spirit, which is quite a long period. The update came out as a shock for some of the netizens, who were expecting the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film to be released in 2026, itself.

Spirit Plot, Cast And Crew

If the reports are to be believed, Prabhas is all set to play the role of an ex-IPS officer, who is dismissed from the police force for a mistake he did not commit. However, he continues his fight against the criminal syndicate without compromising his moral conduct. Meanwhile, he also develops a romantic relationship with a doctor, who helps him in the time of danger.

Tripti Dimri plays the female lead opposite Prabhas in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, which features Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj in the pivotal roles. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the songs and the original score for Spirit, which is jointly produced by T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures.
