With global lifetime collections reaching approximately Rs. 175 crore, 'Lucifer' stands as the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date. Written by Murali Gopi, 'Lucifer ' marked directorial venture of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran which released in theaters in 2019.
Vishnu Sasi Shankar, the son of the late filmmaker Sasi Sankar, has gained significant recognition with his debut film 'Malikappuram'. Made on a budget of Rs 3.5 crore, the movie, which released on December 30, 2022, has grossed nearly Rs 100 crore at the box office. The movie was billed as a mythological drama featuring Unni Mukundan, Deva Nandha and Sreepath in key roles. It also starred Saiju Kurup, Ramesh Pisharody, Sampath Ram, T. G. Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Manoj K. Jayan, and Renji Panicker in supporting roles.
