Deva

Despite high expectations, Shahid Kapoor's Deva, released on January 31, 2025, received a flop response at the box office. A remake of the Malayalam hit Mumbai Police, the film struggled due to a weak screenplay, an altered climax, and unfavorable comparisons to the original. Deva joins the list of Bollywood remakes that couldn’t recreate the success of the original.

"Loveyapa" is the Hindi remake of the 2022 Tamil hit "Love Today", starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. The film explores modern relationships, technology, and trust, much like the original. With a fresh cast and a contemporary twist, but unfortunately Loveyapa didn’t get a good response and was marked as a flop movie.

Shehzada (2023), starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, is the Bollywood remake of the Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), originally featuring Allu Arjun. Unlike the original, which was praised for its engaging screenplay and Allu Arjun’s charisma, Shehzada lacked the same impact, making it one of Bollywood’s notable remake failures.

Bholaa (2023), starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, is the Bollywood remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaithi (2019), directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
