7 Upcoming Malayalam Pan-Indian Movies That Are Highly Anticipated

Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer,  a big-budget movie featuring Jayasurya in the lead role is helmed by Rojin Thomas of 'Home' fame. Penned by R Ramanand, the film has been divided into two parts, with the first part scheduled for release in 2024. This fantasy horror drama will hit the screen in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, promising stunning visuals. The movie is produced by Sree Gokulam Movies, renowned for its historical films such as Kayamkulam Kochunni, Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja, and Pathonpatham Noottandu. It will mark Tollywood actress Anushka Shetty's debut in Malayalam.

Mohanlal in the lead role 'Vrushabha' is an upcoming Pan-indian movie directed by Nanda Kishore. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor under her production Balaji Telefilms, associated with AVS Studios and First Step Movies. Salma Agha's daughter Zahrah S Khan as well as Roshann Meka will also be seen in the film. 'Vrushabha' which marks Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor in South Indian cinema. Vrushabha will be shot in Malayalam and Telugu, will be dubbed in the languaages including Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. As per the latest information, the film is expected to be released in 2024.

L2: Empuraan is a sequel to the 2019 Malayalam political thriller film 'Lucifer', directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is produced by Antony Perunbavoor starring Mohanlal in a lead role. The reports revealed that the actor Mohanlal is expected to join the set of L2E Empuraan after finishing the shooting of Neru, a courtroom drama directed by Jeethu Joseph. Apart from Mohanlal, 'L2: Empuraan' features Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh in prominent roles.

Written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, 'Bramayugam' which marks second directorial  venture of the film maker after 'Bhoothakalam'. The film features Mammootty in a prominent role is touted to be a horror thriller.  Bramayugam is the first film which is produced under the banner of Night Shift Studios. Apart from Mammootty, it also features Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan and Amalda Liz in significant roles.  According to reports, the film will be released in theaters in the coming year in four languages including in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Tyson, is a forthcoming Pan-Indian film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and is funded by Hombale Productions, the company that founded the KGF series. It will mark the third collaboration of Prithviraj and Murali after Lucifer and L2: Empuran. Tyson will be released in theaters in 2024 .

Directed by debutant Jithin Lal, ARM is a big-scale entertainer that spans three time periods—1900, 1950, and 1990. It has Tovino essaying three different characters, namely Maniyan, Ajayan, and Kunjikelu. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Rohini, Basil Joseph, and Harish Uthaman. It will also mark the Krithi Shetty's debut in Malayalam cinema. Produced by Dr Zachariah Thomas and Listin Stephen, ARM is written by Sujith Nambiar. The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and English in 3D format.

Aadujeevitham is a survival drama, directed by Blessy who is best known for his National award wining movie 'Thanmathra'. The film, which will be distributed in theatres by Magic Frames, features Prithviraj in the lead role. The 3D movie is bankrolled by K G Abraham and was shot in several locations, including Wadi Rum, Jordan,Sahara, and Kerala. Amala Paul who will be seen in a female lead role, in  the movie, and will be released in theaters on October 29, 2023.
