Set in Thiruvananthapuram, the movie revolves around the local gangsters and rivalries in the city. Indugopan wrote the dialogues for the film, and was inspired by his novella about 'Kaapa'. Sagar Alias Jacky is a sequel to Mohanlal's superhit film 'Irupatham Noottandu' released in 1987.  The movie like the previous one revolves around a successful underworld don named 'Sagar Alias Jackie'. According to reports, Sagar Alia Jacky is one of the most stylish gangster action dramas ever made in Malayalam cinema in recent times.

'Big B' was Amal Neerad’s stunning directorial debut in Malayalam.  Mammootty’s portrayal of the gangster character Bilal John Kurishingal was so perfect that the character has a huge fan base still now. With the frequent use of slow-motion coupled with trance electronic music during action sequences, the film closely resembled a Hollywood action film. As per the reports, this action-romance turned out to be a cult classic movies ever made in Malayalam cinema.

Starring Suresh Gopi, Vikram Kennedy, Janardhanan, and Tiger Prabhakar in lead roles, the action-thriller is directed by  Shaji Kailas. The story is surprisingly pretty good in this game too.
