From Bramayugam To Thalavan: 5 Anticipated Malayalam Thriller Movies Releasing In 2024

Starring Mammootty , 'Bramayugam' is touted to be a horror thriller drama. The movie is written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who is best known for 'Bhoothakalam'. Chakravarthy Ramachandra, under the Night Shift Studios banner, is the producer of this experimental film that promises to weave together supernatural and mystical elements. Alongside Mammootty and Arjun Asokan, Sidharth Bharathan and Amalda Liz also play crucial roles in the film. According to reports, the much-anticipated release is scheduled for February 15, 2024, in theaters.

Debutant Darwin Kuriakose takes the directorial helm of this investigative thriller, starring Tovino as a Sub-inspector. The script, crafted by Jinu V Abraham, known for his work on the Prithviraj-starrer 'Kaduva,' is supported by Darwin and his twin brother Dolwin Kuriakose under their Theatre of Dreams banner. Alongside Tovino Thomas, the film boasts a talented cast including Iddique, Indrans, Shammy Thilakan, and Baburaj in pivotal roles. 'Anveshippin Kandethin' is slated for a theatrical release on February 9, 2024.

The upcoming movie directed by Ratheesh Raghunandan, the film is inspired by the Thankamani incident that shook Kerala in the mid-1980s. Featuring Dileep in the lead role, the movie is produced by RB Choudhry and Raaffi Mathirra. Neetha Pillai and Pranitha Subhash play prominent roles as the leading female actors in the film.

Helmed by newcomer Deeno Dennis, the film is set to delve into the relatively uncharted territory of game thrillers within the realm of Indian cinema. Notably, this film marks the first collaboration between Tamil director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mammootty. After contributing to several acclaimed films, including Ordinary, Vellimoonga, and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, Biju Menon and Asif Ali are now coming together once again for Thalavan, directed by Jis Joy. The storyline has been crafted by debutants Anand Thevarkatt and Sharath Perumbavoor, with Jis Joy taking charge of the dialogues.
