After a 33-year career in cinema, Vijay officially entered politics by launching the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February 2024. She is a three-time Member of Parliament from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, winning consecutively in 2014, 2019, and 2024. Renowned Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi achieved a historic milestone for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kerala. He won the Thrissur constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, securing the party’s first-ever Lok Sabha seat in the state.
