Hridayapoorvam, starring Mohanlal with Malavika Mohanan and Sangeeth Prathap, has crossed the ₹50 crore mark worldwide. Directed by Sathyan Anthikad, the film emerged as a big success despite clashing with Lokah Chapter One – Chandra. This is Mohanlal’s third 2025 hit after L2: Empuraan and Thudarum. According to the latest reports, JioHotstar has bagged the digital rights for the movie 'Hridayapoorvam', while the OTT release date is yet to be announced.
Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, became the first Malayalam film with a female lead to cross ₹100 crore within seven days of its release. Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the film was a modest-budget blockbuster since its theatrical release on 28th August 2025. Reports suggest it may stream on Netflix from 26th September 2025, though the official OTT release date is yet to be confirmed.
