Happy Birthday Mohanlal : Five Films Of The Actor That Proved He Is A 'Complete Actor'

Mohanlal who appeared only in the 56th minute in the film, had grabbed the attention of his fans and followers. Directed by Fazil, the film 'Manichithrathazhu' is one of the best psychological movies ever made in Malayalam.

Priyadarshan-Mohanlal are considered as one of the best actor-director duo of the Malayalam film industry. The duo, have delivered several superhit movies in different genres. Starring Mohanlal and Ranjini in the lead role the film 'Chitram' is one of the best comedy dramas in Malayalam. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film had collected Rs 3.9 crores from the box-office. 

'Vanaprastham' that the tells the story of a lower-caste Kathakali artiste Kunhikuttan who falls in love with an upper caste women Subhadra, who approached him to train the dance form Kathakali. After fallen in love with him, she gives birth a child, who is hidden away from them for almost a lifetime. Directed by Shaji N Karun, actor Mohanlal's performance as a Kathakal dancer in the movie had received critical appreciation. In 1999, Mohanlal won his second National Award for his performances in the film.

Directed and written by Blessy, the film 'Thanmathra' marked his first collaboration with Mohanlal. In the movie, Mohanlal who played the role of 'Ramesan' touched all the emotions of human in deep manner. Through his performances in the movie, he again proved himself as a versatile actor in the industry. 'Thanmathra' was released in theaters in 2005 was well-received by audience as well as critic.
