How Megastar Mammootty's Last Six Films Performed At The Box office?

This action-thriller movie directed by Unnikrishnan B, collected close to Rs 10.40 crores in the domestic box office.  Mammootty, starring as Christopher Anthony in this film, is a cop vigilante too, with a specific purpose of delivering justice to women in society. Written by  Udaykrishna, the film was produced by the director B. Unnikrishnan under his production. Speaking about his performances, Mammootty who had a stoic expression throughout the film – except in one scene where he shed a few tears. He didn’t have to really put on his acting hat for this role, since there was hardly anything for him to do except be stylish, swagger around and shoot some guys. The reports revealed that the movie was below average at the box-office. Apart from Mammootty, 'Kannur Squad' features actors Vinay Rai, Amala Paul, Sneha, Siddique, Asihwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Shine Tom Chacko and Dileep Pothan.

Mammootty played a lead role in the Telugu movie 'Agent' which earned Rs 10 crore in just 7 days after its big release. Helmed by Surender Reddy, the film hit the theaters on 27 April, 2023and received mixed responses from the audience and critics alike. Akhil Akkineni in the main lead role, the film 'Agent' produced under the banner of AK Entertainment and Surender 2 Cinema. Vakkantham Vamsi wrote the script for the film. The music was composed by Hip Hop Tamizha.

Released in theaters in 2022, and the film received unanimously positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Despite getting positive responses from all corners, the film, however, failed to make a huge impact at the box-office. In the film, Mammootty plays the role of James. However, at one point in time, his character takes a dramatic shift, and he starts behaving like a Tamil man named Sundaram. For his stupendous performance in the movie, Mammootty won Kerala State Film Award for best actor in 2023. S Hareesh wrote script for the film 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam', which marked the first collaboration between Mammootty and Lijo. Apart from Mammootty, 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam' also featured the actors Ramya Pandian, Sanjana Dipu, Vipin Atley, Ashokan, and several others in prominent roles.

Amal Neerad's action-thriller film,'Bheeshma Parvam,' was released in 2022. According to the reports, ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ bagged around Rs. 25 crores at the Kerala box office by 5th day of its release. And around the same in GCC countries. If reports are to be belived, it turned to become ninth highest grossing Malayalam film of all time. 'Bheeshma Parvam'  was the first Malayalam film screened with a full house in Kerala since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The film was released in theaters in 2022 and received several responses from the audience and turned out to be a box office hit. Helmed by the ‘Kettyloaanu Ente Maalakha’ director Nissam Basheer ', the script of Rorschach was penned by the writer Sameer Abdul.Mammootty, Sharafudheen, Jagadeesh, Bindu Panicker, Asif Ali, and Grace Antony are among the cast members.

According to reports, the film hit the theaters last year and earned Rs 4.45 crores at the box office on its opening day. Written and directed by Madhu, CBI 5 is the fifth installment in the CBI film franchise. The film was considered a hit at the box office.
